A hand is holding a smartphone in a car, with the screen showing the camera interface. The camera is pointed toward the interior of the car where two people are sitting in the front seats. The focus on the phone screen contrasts with the slightly blurred car background.

My aim in doing this study is to raise awareness of distracted driving, particularly the use of cell phones in Whatcom County, Washington, and to motivate people to learn more about the dangers of such behavior. We have to drive cautiously, every one of us. There is a higher chance of getting into an accident when using a cell phone while driving. By preventing the use of cell phones while driving, we can make a change for ourselves and future generations. If future research is conducted on the goals of this study, I recommend conducting a survey, primarily focusing on how the use of technology can help combat distracted driving. I also recommend focusing on drivers such as teen drivers and public transportation drivers. Ultimately, I encourage everyone to act against distracted driving, particularly organizations that have the authority to implement policies that address this issue. Hopefully, everyone will understand that it is our responsibility to be good drivers with our hands on the wheel and our eyes on the road.

Cell phone use while driving is dangerous, and drivers—especially young drivers—need to be made more aware of this and educated about it. Despite being aware of the risks, individuals continue to drive while using a phone, according to research. The first stage for both drivers and non-drivers is awareness. According to the findings, it's critical to be mindful of distracted driving, drive responsibly, and help others around us. Education is also crucial for the next generation and for young people learning to drive. According to research, it all begins at home, where parents can set an example and support their children's education and awareness.
